Gmovia
Turning a vehicle into a mobile retreat
The challenge
Gmovia's configurator let customers design a van build — then the cart forgot what they chose. Abandonment was the norm, not the exception, and the imagery never matched the dream.
Behind the work
The story
The brief
Gmovia sells a dream: a van, configured piece by piece into a mobile retreat. The configurator was good at the dream and bad at the handover. Customers built a van, reached the cart, and discovered it had forgotten what they chose.
Abandonment wasn't an exception — it was the default, and every forgotten build was a customer asked to start over. The brief: make the build survive the journey to checkout, and make the imagery match the dream being sold.
What we built
The store is configurator-first: fewer steps, bigger imagery, and a saved build from the first click. The cart carries the full configuration across devices, so a customer can sign in and pick up exactly where they left off — the build is never lost to a closed tab.
Checkout went through CRO rounds — progress indicators, trust signals at the moment of doubt, and one-tap payment for the people who were always going to buy. Nothing was added for its own sake; each change removed a specific place where the build could disappear.
Why it worked
Nothing in the funnel was invented: every fix removed a place where the build could be lost. When the configuration survives, the customer finishes what they started — checkout rate rose 41%, average order value 28%, and cart abandonment fell 19%.
The dream was always sellable. The store just had to stop forgetting it — and once it remembered, the numbers followed the customers.
The approach
Fewer, better moves
A configurator-first store: fewer steps, bigger imagery, and the build saved at every stage.
The cart now carries the full build across devices — sign in, pick up exactly where you left off.
CRO rounds on checkout: progress indicators, trust signals, one-tap payment.

“Fewer steps, bigger imagery, and a configurator-first store that never loses the customer's build. Our checkout rate says the rest.”
